Throughout this session, students will learn the fundamentals of collaboration, trust, and physical safety when working closely with others. Students explore the art of sharing weight, acro-balance and building physical sequences together. Through a series of fun and dynamic exercises, students will develop trust and respect for their partners, emphasising the importance of responsibility when working together.
From mastering simple lifts to building intricate sequences, students will explore the dynamics of partner work while honing their physical coordination and communication skills. Students will learn safe lifting techniques, correct posture, and correct place to load bear.
WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
an intensive industry standard warm-up.
exploring the fundamentals of partner work including taking weight, trust building, form, and technique.
creating movement sequencing with a partner.
wind down with a gentle warm-down routine.
sharing of findings through a debrief, offering students the opportunity to offer insights and ask questions.
optional conversation regarding the live performance industry, physical performance sector and career pathways.
